FACET Programming Grants support teaching and learning events sponsored or co-sponsored by FACET campuses. Requests are reviewed based on their potential impact on teaching excellence, student learning, faculty development, and engagement with FACET priorities. Collaborative programs involving multiple campuses or hybrid participation are strongly encouraged.
Programming Grants support individual events rather than semester-long plans and are reviewed throughout the year. Funding cannot be provided for events that have already occurred.
Submission Timeline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and should be submitted before event commitments are made.
Maximum Request Amount:
- Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses: up to $5,000 per event
- Regional campuses: up to $3,000 per event
Guidelines:
- Event Description: Describe the proposed program, speaker(s), activity, or initiative and explain how it supports teaching, learning, faculty development, or student success.
- Audience and Participation: Estimate attendance and identify the intended audience. If the program involves multiple campuses or includes a hybrid component, describe how participants will be engaged.
- Collaboration: List any participating campuses, units, departments, centers, or external partners involved in planning or supporting the event.
- Co-Sponsorship: Identify any financial or in-kind contributions from co-sponsors.
- Budget: Provide an itemized budget of anticipated direct costs.
- Outcomes and Impact: Explain how the success of the program will be assessed and how the event will benefit faculty, students, and/or the broader teaching and learning community.
- Dissemination: Describe how resources, insights, or outcomes will be shared with others who are unable to attend.
